The largest genealogical resource on the web with over 1.5 billion names in over 4,000 collections, Ancestry includes census, birth / death / marriage and immigration records, along with images, passenger lists and directories. Please note that due to licence requirements, access to Ancestry Library Edition is available in the library only.

Archives of Ontario - The AO website helps you access the vast historical collection held by the Archives of Ontario. Their holdings include government records, birth / death / marriage registrations, company records and much, much more.

Business Advisory Centre Durham - Located in Whitby, the BACD assists small business and entrepreneurs with market research, business plan development and connections with key business professionals.

Canada in the Making - This site combines narrative history and primary documents to detail the history of Canada's constitution, Aboriginal treaties, pioneers and immigrants.

Canadian Encyclopedia - Originally created as a three-volume set of books in 1985, the Canadian Encyclopedia provides comprehensive and accurate information on topics related to Canada.

Their research papers, available through this site, are excellent sources of information on topics related to federal legislation and policy.
