Caribana for Children.

Wednesday, February 15th 7:00 - 8:00 PM

In celebration of Black History Month children ages 5 & up accompanied by a caregiver,

are welcome to join our special guest Curtis as he talks about the origins of Caribana.

There will be a short video and a display of costumes.

Following the presentation youngsters can create a designer mask to take home.

Registration begins Thursday, February 2nd in person at the main floor information

Join Us Tomorrow for Family Literacy Day with Special Guest Reader Mayor Pat Perkins

Join us at the Fireside Family Storytime at 10:30 a.m.on Friday, January 27th to hear stories read by special guest reader Mayor Pat Perkins. The draw for completed "Journey to Learning" passports will take place at the end of the storytime and the winning family will be notified. One entry only per family please. Be sure to pick up your Family Literacy Day activity sheets while you're here.

Kingdom Keepers

If you are looking for an adventure that takes place somewhere warm, then you have to give Kingdom Keepers: Disney after Dark a try. Talk about fun! Five kids were models to be special Disney holographic guides but quickly discover the job gets them more than special park passes! They are thrown into a fast paced race to stop evil magic from taking over the Magic Kingdom (and maybe the world!). There are four in the series written by Ridley Pearson. A fifth book is scheduled for release in April. If you like Percy Jackson, you’ll like this series too.
