  Citizen Preparation Course

This course prepares immigrants to become Canadian citizens. Information about Canada's history, geography and government are some of the topics discussed.  This program is offered in partnership with the Durham Catholic District School Board.  To register, please contact the Continuing Education department at

Introduction to Computers
for English as a Second Language Learners

 

Study the basics of the Windows operating system, surf the Internet, compose and receive email and learn basic word processing.  To Register plase call the Reference Desk at 905-668-6531, ext. 2020.

 Learning Express

 
Learning Express is a collection of online tutorials and practice tests, accessible 24/7 online through the library website.  It includes practice tests for a wide range of academic and career-oriented exams (including TOEFL, the GED and the Canadian Citizenship exam) as well as lessons for basic skills in reading, writing, and math and tutorials on a wide variety of software.
