Book Reviews

Gone With the Wind
I just read Gone With the Wind. I’ve just got to say WOW. I read the book before I saw the movie, I recommend this to anyone reading the book. You appreciate the movie more if you’ve read the book first. It’s hard to summarize an 1000 page book, so I’ll just say, IT’S THE BEST ROMANCE OF ALL TIME! Gone with the Wind is set during the American Civil War, it’s the love story of Scarlet O’Hara and Rhett Butler. This book is a classic, and the best book I’ve ever read. If you love romances, even a little, you’ll LOVE this book!

Pride and Prejudice
Pride and Prejudice is a truly amazing book. After reading it I assure you, you will be thinking of it every night for a week! The plot is so romantic, and the book helps you learn about the 18th century in a way you won’t want to forget. I read it 4months ago and I’m still reviewing it in my head. This book has changed my life. I am now the ultimate Jane Austen and Pride and Prejudice fan! I recomend this book to all teens!

Olive’s Ocean
Olive’s Ocean is such a great book. One of the ones that applies to the saying “dont judge a book by its cover.” Its kinda a love story/death/fun/sad book.

New Moon
Now I understand that these aren’t your typical teenage romance books, but there is just something about them that is so intriguing. They’re about this average teenage girl who moves into this small town to live with her father. New school, new friends…the typical moving story. Until she meets Edward. It just so happens that Edward is a vampire- a vampire she falls in love with. The closer they become and the deeper they fall in love, the more Edward thirsts for her blood. Intrigued? You need to read these books!

Twelve
I kind of randomly found the book Twelve by Nick McDonell in the teen section of the library and picked it up because the cover looked interesting (yes, I admit, I sometimes do judge a book by the cover). It’s about a teenage drug dealer living in Manhattan. At first, it seems like any other book about teenagers and drugs, but once you read it you’ll realize it’s definitely something different. I don’t want to give anything away, but it’s worth the read – I finished it almost a month ago and am still thinking about it!
