Do you like to experiment with words? Do you have a story you need to put on paper? Ever wondered about newspaper and magazine writing? Maybe our teen writing group is the place for you. We meet the fourth Monday of every month and explore different aspects of writing. From fiction to non-fiction, we talk about the writing process and even enjoy some "on the spot" writing exercises. Want to meet other teens, contribute to library services and programs, and earn community service hours? Join our Teen Advisory Group (T.A.G.). We meet the third Tuesday of every month and discuss books, programs, websites, movies, music and more. If you are between 12 and 19 years of age and would like to get involved, apply to join T.A.G. Love to read a good book and want to share your thoughts with kids your own age? Join us this fall for our new book club for intermediate students in grades 7 & 8. Registration will begin September 1, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. in person at the Children's and Adult Fiction desk or by calling (905) 668-6531 ext. 2010. Both clubs will begin in October and will take place on a Saturday afternoon from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Each club will meet every 3 weeks - a schedule will be provided.
